The “World’s Most Admired Companies” is among the most important rankings for our global reputation as it is highly respected by our key stakeholders, and the business and financial community at large. It also has significant widespread global circulation, comments Ann Bailey, Head of Corporate Communications. “We are pleased with this recognition from within the industry because it shows that we are well on our way to fulfilling our aspiration of becoming the world’s most respected and successful healthcare company”.

By heading the list this year, Novartis shows that it is earning the respect of its peers as well as strengthening its brand.
By moving up one place to the top of the list, Novartis is currently in front of Johnson & Johnson now in 2nd place, and ahead of Roche in 3rd place. Eli Lily moved up two positions to 4th place and Glaxo kept its 5th place from 2006, however Pfizer came down 1 position to 11th place and Merck was ranked 12th.
Novartis entered the “World’s Most Admired Companies” pharmaceutical industry list in 2003 and since, it has continuously moved up through the ranking. Our strong patient focus, excellent performance and solid product pipeline has largely contributed to this progression as well as to building a good reputation for our company.
